I noticed this spec'd on the lower end Norco Aurum.
Anyone have any ride time on this rear shock?
The new Norcos look really nice and I think the entry Aurum would make a great park bike.

PM Timmigrant, he's spent some time on that bike with that shock.
thx for that
I've got a Vector HLR on my bike. The immediate advantage over a DHX RC4 is that the LSC and HSC knobs can be adjusted without tools. As well, you can actually feel a difference when you adjust them.
I've owned 2 of them. Pretty much one of the better shocks on the market. Like Clownmitts said, a couple of clicks is actually noticeable, much like a moto shock. Very supple off the start without a lot of compression damping (that's a good thing).
I was impressed with the X-Fusion Vector RC on the Aurum. I raced and rode that shock a bunch this year, was happy with the performance, and had no issues with durability. I tried both the Vector HLR and the Vector RC, and actually preferred the cheaper and simpler Vector RC. On the RC the low speed compression adjustment has a good range of adjust-ability, and was useful for tuning the dynamic ride height of the bike, as well as the chassis response to pedaling and rider movements. Although X-Fusion say the high-speed circuit is factory preset I noticed the compression adjuster would affect the shocks response to high speed chatter bumps.
Maybe there was something wrong with the Vector HLR, but it was harsher than a bunch of other shocks I tested and couldn't get it tuned to my liking.
Biking: As addictive as cocaine, twice as expensive!
