I thought I would weigh in on Tannus tubeless, and they're great so far. Lightweight, good support, not bad to install, and importantly fairly affordable.

I like them. Would buy again.

Yes. So far the Tannus tubeless I have in the rear of my hardtail has been a pleasant surprise. I haven't rushed to install the 2nd one in the front tire, but I am enjoying being able to ride that rear much harder than I have in the past with no issues from pinch flats or rim dings.

Lot of variables.

Currently a lazy blob of jello, about 200 lbs. In current gelatinous state on a hardtail:

Rear: Exo+, 27mm rim, Tannus tubeless, 19psi

Front: exo, same otherwise, 17psi

Haven't felt the rim bottom yet. Also haven't looked at the inserts so maybe riddled with holes? Either way, it feels good.

When I first got the inserts I tried some low pressure testing just riding around the neighborhood and I think at 10 psi you start to get into some weird tire dynamics.

At 5 psi I could limp off the trail if I was careful.

No idea about run flat, but I'd rather not if possible.

I hadn't even tried Tannus before this so I wanted to try some stuff out. Had tried a buddy's bike with cushcore but didn't try this number of things out for obvious reasons.

Been running the Tannus tubeless now for a couple of weeks. They work surprisingly well, you can run super low pressure without fear of dinging your rims. Climbing is so much better, difference in rolling resistance feels negligible.

The worst part of the system was getting the damn bead to seat, but thanks to Chaz @ Cove who helped me, I can confidently (with help) install again. If you are considering unless your built like a brick ***house I suggest you employee a friend to help.

Tannus update, after some riding:

They look untouched

Managed to remove with my bare hands (w/EXO+ casing)

Do not appear to have soaked up any sealant

10/10 in my books

I just noticed a new shop in west kelowna carries them, Smith Creek Cycle. I haven’t ordered yet to see shipping costs but it can’t be worse than direct from Tannus

Trek dealers seem to have them in stock. Got mine from Ridley's in Calgary. ~$70 each and free shipping at $100. Don't know what the connection is between Trek and Tannus.

Shipping right from Tannus was insane to Canada.

I have no basis to compare against as I’ve never used any and it’ll be going on a new bike with 29” wheels which are new to me. So all new variables.

My rear does tend to squirm a lot though so if it fixes that I’ll be happy.

I ordered direct from Tannus yesterday morning around 10:00am. The inserts were delivered to me in Vancouver MINUTES AGO by DHL. They were shipped from Utah. Verrrrrrrrry impressive. And my all in cost was $177.83 CAD, which is $13.00 cheaper than it would have been to order from the bike shop in Kelowna noted above.

Now to see how they ride compared to Cushcore Pro...
