apparently almost all the bikes are made by only a handful of manufacturers … w giant actually having their own factory and making all their own bikes..

my question is who makes the norco frames?

The big S is what I was told, Kona and Brodie are Giant

is going big on a bike the only way to get you stoked on the sport? what happened to riding with your bros, travelling, and riding unique places, to get people stoked on riding?

Wouldn't it be Merida, since they own 49% of Specialized?

Who makes Chromag's made in Taiwan frames? I'm guessing it's a smaller Taiwan shop specializing in steel?

Who makes Banshee frames?

Wrong. Always.

AFAIK Specialized frames are made by Merida and Merida might do some others as well. They are BIG.

Giant supposedly did also make frames for others, I think. :D

I think Banshees are/were made by Pacific. Not sure if that changed after the bushing/alignment/qc fiasco. I think Pacific were also responsible for the Evils that had poor alignment issues.

I know from first hand experience . That Kona had three factory's making their frames in the early , mid 2000's Giant was one of them … if i recall one of the others was Hodaka (sp) i cant recall the third manufacturer

What about the factories that make carbon frames? Surely there can't be that many.
