I have a limited budget and am looking to replace my '04 Jr Ts. Which of the options would you go for, and why? For reference, the fork is going on an '06 Transition Dirtbag, and I want to stay with a dual crown for it (since I have a Coiler D with a 150mm 66 for the times when a DC big bike is overkill).

If you want a bighit bike Stick with the tried and true 888RC's in my opinion.
Unless the 2005 888vf is a vf2.

If you need to get rid of that junior t.
I'd be interested.

Being an agoraphobic adrenaline junkie would be pretty convenient, because you could get your rush from just going to the store to get some milk instead of having to jump off a mountain or out of an airplane.

The 888 is a no brainer. Even the first year it was out, it was a transformational fork. Lots of old ones around now and they are really easy to service and get work done on. The listed price seems alright….I would stay away from the VF.

The Super T in the past was a superb fork. I have a friend that has ridden the same 2003 Super T on his Bullit without doing anything but change the oil and it continues to be an unbelievably plush and solid fork.

The new Super T are not the HSVC valving like the old ones. They are an adjustable pumping rod design. Ie nearly the same thing that your Jr T has only a bit better.

Try to upgrade to something with best valving you can afford. My vote is for 888 RC, stay away from the VF's.

why stay away from the VF's?

the dampening system in them, ssv I believe, is nowhere near the system in the rc, hscv.
I'd have to agree, go with the 05 rc, however, I dont know too much about the new supert dampening system

wow, M&M, you're a fucking dick!

I'd like to say the 888RC just for the damping quality and also the adjustability. However, not having any experience with the Dirtbag, I don't know if the extra tall 888 will screw up the geometry of the bike and ruin its handling or not.
