Santa stuffed this in my stocking. 30bones on Amazon with 2 day prime shipping free. Works well actually. Never really wanted to drop 100$ for a tool I only use every so often. This one fits the  bill.

My family got me some Fox Defend pants and a pair of Dakine covert gloves, the nice leather ones! Awesome

A couple of my close riding buddies got me a new chain, some of my favourite beers and some groceries.(thank Brian, Peter and families)

But the biggest (not necessarily the best) gift was from Abbotsford hospital. They gave me COVID.

Beautiful tool, definitely not something I would have bought myself. Thoughtful gift to be sure!

Can't wait to try to try this out. It looks like a serious bit of kit.

7mesh thunderpants!

Looking like appropriate weather for a test lap as well, for good or for bad. Haha

So far nothing really MTB related. I do plan on pulling the trigger on some new brakes in early Jan. I'm stoked for that. Sort of a late Christmas present for myself.

I did order a bunch of maintenance items in Dec when we were talking about the COVID related shortages in another thread. While staring at a pile of chains, brake pads and tires does give me a warm fuzzy feeling it's not exciting like some new bling.

Shimano Deore 4 piston. After my issues with the previous XT brakes they are replacing I would have preferred to get some Codes, but SRAM making it difficult for me to order anything online from vendors outside Canada means I'm not going that route. I also just want to stick to something common so I am able to get parts/service without too much hassle so I'll give the Shimano another shot rather go with a niche brand.

You ever consider maguras? My mt trail sports are some of the best performing brakes i have and they are less than 300 for the pair. Also super easy to maintain. I also love the lever feel.

I havent been blown away by any of my xt brakes.
