Those Kona rumors sound very interesting!
What bike are you currently obsessing over
Nothing really to obsess over, but the new Rocky Instinct BC Edition is the first 29er that I've really gotten interested in:
As a drinker of the Knolly koolaid I'm also looking forward to the 650b Endorphin.
Being cheap is OK. Being a clueless sanctimonious condescending douchebag is just Vlad's MO.
I love my Prime, just a few upgrades would make it perfect, lusting over XX1 and Thomson dropper post….one of these things may be a reality in the next few weeks…we'll see…oh yeah the Float X would be great too…but so far the regular float seems to be doing a pretty good job.
I would love a fast light carbon commuter with disks and all the mounts for bottles and bags. A DH bike is also on my list…nothing that I need…but would be awesome to have.
I already have a ballin Chromag Surface
but…
an 11 speed Di2 w/ Hydraulic disc brakes carbon road bike would be a nice addition
maybe a replacement for the Range
Why slag free swag?
ummm, as your doctor i recommend against riding with a scaphoid fracture.
Nothing… I'd rather just ride.
Now that I have my dream trail/AM bike, I daydream over a Chromag handbuilt hardtail built up for everything from XC to urban to bikepacking.
And perhaps a Podium to go along with my Chilcotin. I dream big.
Nothing… I'd rather just ride.
You already have a few pretty sweet rides!
Nothing… I'd rather just ride.
oddly, i kinda concur. i'm a hardware fetish nerd at the core, but not much out there really excites me at the moment. unlike the olden days of radical experimentalism, it seems we're now at the point of incremental refinement. which is not a bad thing, of course, as there's heaps of ridiculously good production bikes on the market these days.
that said, this looks neat. the computer controlled compression damper system is apparently a production unit for next year. techno!
Not obsessing, but I keep wondering about changing out my current hardtail frame for a steel frame.

better murdered out:
where we're here - so stoked to see the alien back on top the box. badass.
now this is the kind of freaky i miss:
A 25lb 120mm 29" with 67 HA, 30mm BB drop, 440mm chainstays, Stealth routing, XX1.
short-shocked sworks stumpjumper 29 with evo link, angleset and custom xy9ine chainstay mod

In want of nothing for my AM/Enduro bike but I do miss my hardtail…
Chromag Samurai 650, Surface or Rootdown and Yeti ARC 29 are my current fantasy bikes until/unless someone makes a 650B Carbon trail-oriented hardtail with some tight and slackish geo.

I've thought about such things with my Evo 29" but the BB is already on the floor.
To be honest I'll be happy if they keep the frame as is and just added the Stealth routing on the carbon frame.
That'll do for an XC bike but then what 160/170mm 26/650b? That Scott is probably the best thing I've seen so far.
