weird problem with tire tube...

So I bought a dh tube for my 2.35 kenda kinetic (2.35-3.0") IRC tube for 12 bucks at overtime.

Anyhoo… I installed the tube as following the instructions on the box. However, the edge of the tire where the valve is seems to stick out of the tube a bit. I'm talking about the edge of the the tire that's suppose to sit inside the rim. But it sticks up and it won't really go into the rim properly.

Is my rim too narrow or something???

I also tried to pump it up anyways. It did get a little better, bit that specific portion of the tire still sticks up.

sounds like too narrow a rim, since you're running the tube in the narrowest tire that it's designed for. what rim is it?

Well there were two nuts on the valve. I took the first nut off, but I coudln't get the 2nd nut off because it was so tight. Is that 2nd nut suppose to stay there stationally, or can you actually take it off???

the IRC tube can be a real bastard to get seated around the valve stem…

u need to seat the tire on the bead right at that area first….

it will work u just gotta play around with it….narrow rims make this alot harder then wide rims….

i just did the exact same thing with my IRC Dh tube inside a Michy 2.5 on a rhino lite… so i know it will work….

so the 2nd nut on the valve is suppose to stay where it is right? It can't screw off am I correct?

ok, I got the tire in fully

The trick was to partially put the valve into the hole first, and then shove the tire into the rim, and then push the valve into the hole all the way.

But I still haven't got an aswer whether the 2nd nut and its washer is supopse to come off or not.
