So aside from Timmigrant, Wayne and myself who's running them? Its been about 5 months for me and I'm very pleased. I just did a Penticton trip over the weekend and donged my rear off a few more rocks than I'd like to mention (slow leak) and still true as day 1.

Only have 30km on an Agent 29 laces to Onyx hub but so far so good. The absolute loudest I’ve ever heard a bead seat before! Lezyne floor pump at ~30psi snapped that bead into place with such authority I momentarily though the tyres was going to blow off. Haha

The rim isn’t lightweight by any means but I wasn’t after that.

Competitive pricing for a NA made product. 60 month warranty is a nice touch as well. Can’t see myself going elsewhere for carbon Mtn bike rims now.

Yeah kind of a no brainer to be honest, especially with the warranty.

by the by, a mechanic at a LBS has a set of these built on the quiet P321 hub. seriously fancy wheelset. the hub had a great sound, and was very quiet. i'm sure it's barely detectable on the trail at all.

That's what I have. I would compare it to faintly hearing a slow leak in your tire if you were going at running speed. Any faster and the wind noise alone drowns it out. I love mine. As a machinist I appreciate all things machined and these hubs seriously impress me. Very high quality.

how do you find the take up, or engagement? do you like the feel? it's quite unique eh. i have only ridden my wife's bike around the street, i wish i could take that wheel onto a trail bike and really see what it's like in action.

Its pretty neat running an Onyx rear hub and being out for a solo ride.  I hear the sound of my tyres hitting a corner, not the loud clicking of pawls.   I've found the engagement to be darn near close to, if not, instant.  On a few climbs I've purposely stalled the bike, and any crank arm movement seems to result in forward momentum of the rear wheel.  I've read people talk about "wind-up" of the hub, but haven't noticed any.

I'm not an über-engagement whore so I'm likely not be the best to talk about how instantaneous this hub is compared to others.  I have a plethora of DT 240s wheel sets and a Hope Pro2 (Wanted to see what the hype was about) in my collection as reference.

I absolutely love my Onyx made Nobl hubs.  I agree that the silence is wonderful.

I've always wanted a top-shelf hub set that I can keep moving from build to build.  Was going to go with i9 or King.  Happy that I tried something different.

Keep an eye on those project 321 hubs, the magnets fall out of the pawls over time.
