Waterproof Shorts?

Does anyone have any recommendations for waterproof shorts?

I've been looking at these Sugoi shorts, but I usually find Sugoi shorts a bit too short. Anyone got a pair?

i have some from Endura , they work pretty well , shitty thing with waterproof clothing is you still sweat under it so you are still wet just not as soaked to the bone .

I have the Endura MT500's, probably the same shorts as you and I definitely agree, nice having a waterproof seat in them but they are really warm/not breathable at all.
They do keep it warm in the cooler months which is nice.

I've been using the Specialised ones for a year or so, in fact literally just got in from a ride using them. Good length and fit over knee pads without being too baggy. Can get a little sweaty if you are climbing hard, but overall I've been very happy with them.

I picked some up last fall from another NSMBer who works at Arcteryx. He had cut down a pair of Sabre snowboard pants to an 18" inseam. They work great. Some zipper vents and waterproof zippers all around. Not a cheap solution but they work really well solving a longstanding problem.

Next test: I just ordered a pair of new Sealskinz socks.

Anyone tried the Gore shorts? Big dollas but my Gore jacket has been worth it.

I hope the seal skinz work out for you Craw. I had a pair for a long time that never quite lived up to their billing but I think they've changed a bunch since. I got winter boots (45Nth Fasterkatts) last year and they're awesome.

Those 45Nth winter shoes seem like they would be way overkill for the Shore. I bet they're incredible if you're somewhere colder.

I used to use Shimano AM45s but now I'm looking at the new AM9s or their new MW7, which looks like it would be great around here, not too XC-style.

I'm in Victoria and I tend to run pretty hot. The Fasterkatts are comfy anytime it's raining in fall through winter. I just choose different socks based on the temp. Feet haven't gotten wet yet.

Just checked the website, seems they don't offer those shoes anymore. Everyone else I ride with has the specialized winter shoes and loves em.

Speaking of footwear, I have a pair of GORE socks I got for commuting in the rain (I dislike shoe covers) and they've been very good. I also wear them for wet rides on the shore and haven't had wet feet yet, just pick the right thickness sock for the weather to wear under the GORE one.

They look weird but I like them haha.
