Saw that the other day. Wicked price for an eVent jacket.

What size did you buy and how does it fit for your height/build?

I'm 6' 180lbs and have a size large which i find fits really well. From what I can tell the sizing chart wiggle provides is pretty accurate.

I use the Sombrio Vapor.
Waterproofing is good, fairly light and flexible.

Can't comment on durability, but so far has survived minor spills without any damage.

It is on sale right now at hucknroll:

Paclite is defined by the urethane liner. You could put a really heavy face on it and it would be durable… but no one does AFAIK.

I'd like to see more bike-specific gore jackets with lighter materials and good venting on the torso with tough materials on the arms and shoulders

Race Face jackets are on sale at Overtime right now. Jackets that cost $150-175 are on for $75 - Race Face Atlas Jacket and Diabolus. Both are water proof, breathable, seam sealed vented jackets.

And Race Face Atlas DH 31" bars are on for $60 many colors still available.

Those of you that are in North Van should take advantage of the Arc'teryx outlet store. Prices that are often much less than 50% off and the reasons for being at the outlet are tiny. I.e. a mild imperfection in an interior panel or something.

Maybe next time I am over there I will go take a look…thanks for the heads up.

No worries. If people like to ride in Arc'Teryx the outlet can't be beat.

I have yet to see a Race Face jacket that wasn't crap…

Thanks for the heads-up on this Shoredad. I've lusted after the Vapor for over a year now, but couldn't justify the $250 + tax at my LBS (actually, Cove has it for $275 + tax, I was in there today).

Ordered one from HucknRoll on Monday, $109 no tax and free shipping. It arrived in Blaine this afternoon. I'll pick it up in the morning.

So I bought a jacket from a North Van company in Utah and saved myself nearly $200. I'd rather support local shops, but that price difference is just ridiculous.

tatonka makes an eVent jacket that is WAY burlier than anything else that I've seen. Plus it is made from event, so it breathes better than gore IMO

I have no clue if they are available in ireland though. the only place that I know that sells it is AJ brooks in vancouver.

That's the problem with cities, they're refuges for the weak, the fish that didn't evolve.

I don't want to google this - sounds like a thing that NSMB will be better at.

I got the RaceFace Kenny jacket for Christmas this year. It is great. Appears to be of good quality, water proof, durable fabric etc. I would recommend it.

Royal Explorer jacket? Simple, durable, and doesn't break the bank.
