Is it possible to effectively upgrade the rear suspension travel on the 2002 VPS fluid like it is on the other VPS bikes? Any changes?

Thanks for the info!

On the 2002 bike, (The white one, first year it was out) yea, it is. I think you need new stays and everything though. I know I was out in the shed and ran into Jay (ouch!) and one of his buddies was riding a fluid with 8" rear travel.

That bike is dope, they shoulda kept it as it was. It's like, XC/epic now.

right on…hopefully Ouch! will fill me in. If it is just TeamDH parts like it is on the other VPS….then dope!

How is the fluid for strength? Do they suffer from anything more than the standard chainstay issues? Any problems in the front end?

Fluid seems to be alright for strength. Got a buddy riding one with a 7" Jr. T, the headtube seems to be fine. He's had it for just over a year now…

I think they're a pretty heavy frame, aren't they?
