That is interesting…. what amazes me is how many after-market mods are available for Fox CTD shocks/forks… you would think that Fox could get the engineering a bit better dialed from their end before guinea-pigging the public. I guess it provides employment for the after-market tuners which is a good thing, but still, come on Fox.

My last two Fox products were all it took to make me a CCDBA convert.

Steve was going to hook us up with one of those to (pre)review, but I dropped the ball… Looks rad!

So larger negative spring volume.

It's a DebonAir can for a Fox Then. No doubt well worth trying. Their current shocks can't get any worse.

Just saw this also. Any idea how this will work on a Nomad Carbon 2 with Fox DHX Air?

i put lots of miles on a prototype last year on my stumpy. i have no association with vorsprung, steve just offered to let me try it after a long chat about what i wish my shock felt like. huge improvement in initial stroke, its super supple off the top, like a coil, so far better traction. much improved mid-stoke support, so the bike was so much zippier in undulating terrain, pumping, cornering, etc. i was running a lot of preload (10-15% sag) and a firm tune before this, to try to gain mid-stoke support, so i was very harsh and traction was very poor. with the can i can run 20% sag and it feels like a totally different bike. its a huge upgrade, highly recommended. in fact, i can't think of a more dramatic upgrade i've made to the bike, including fancy forks.

Can one install at home, or does it need to be sent in for install ?

interesting (just reading the fox service page) - they recommend doing air sleeve maintenance every 8 hrs (!) in wet / muddy conditions. who the hell does that??

I probably do mine every 20 or 30 hours. Always clean fluid inside and no signs of dirt. I do my friends shocks too and those are much less frequent and again never any signs of a problem.

A whole lot cheaper to buy a Corset if your bike came spec'd with the Fox vs buying a new Debonair.

But I would also like to see the Corset spring curve vs a Debonair.
