Video Editing Program........

hey, im gonna buy a video editing program and i was just wondering what you all used and would recomend. I dont need something really high tech but not somthign thats just the basics. I was thinking adobe premier or something? thanks

PC = Adobe Premier

What Atari said. I work at www.visuallearningco.com and I use Final Cut Pro as well as some other stuff like Adobe After Effects (they are tools for different jobs). If I were using a PC I would go After Effects, but I gotta say FCP is superior.

ok so i have a PC should i get adobe after affects or adobe premier? or are they the same thing?

You are looking for premiere, after effects is a different sort of editing program. After Effects is for doing visual effects work for the most part, while premiere is for editing.

I and a good friend of mine use this instead of Premiere. I think it has a little better lay out, and is less confusing in my opionion. Give the demo a shot, see what you think.

wow vegas is crazy expensive it looks great but i cang afford that thing!

holy shit 600$US is insane.

and i use ulead, which is pretty good for begginers i guess.

Uh oh. Have you looked at the price of Premiere yet? Its pricy too. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0000AJXWP/103-9417773-5969426 Professional level software is very expensive. My brother uses 3d modeling software that cost him $2000+.

Maybe you want to try using windows movie maker for a while? Its free. There was a roxio program that a tried a while back that was fairly decent, forgot the name though. Should be cheap.

yea haha i just looked at premiere wow this stuff is expensive, my comp doesnt have Windows Media Maker for some werid reason. Is there anything thats cheaper out there?

i use pinnacle studio 8 it has some problems but there are pathes issued regularly so its alright. great for editing if you get rid of the errors.

Or as another option, not recomended though, you could do what everyone and the mother is doing and just download the whole thing on some P2P site.

And as yet another choice, you could switch to a unix/linux based OS and look for opensoursce AKA free software.
