Toss in a purple headset and that will look planned.
Looks good though as is.
Agreed the purple headset would tie it in.

The purple hub is a classic. As such it goes with everything.
This is the way.
Indeed.
If you rode through the 90’s 3DV and polished finishes are always good.
As vic always demonstrates, you gotta go all in with accent colours.
Purple headset ordered - check
Purple headset spacers - check
Purple bar end plugs - check
Purple seatpost clamp - check
Purple hubs laced up - check
Purple socks - only vic can pull off matching socks
I'll post a picture once it's all together
Glorious

I like the Primer's powder coat. Just needs some purple bling to come alive.

Yup. Almost there. Waiting on 32 spokes for the front wheel rebuild and it's done. I've been trying to find purple 200mm rotors but they don't seem to be available anywhere. Silver will have to do.
Still not sure about the 3DV and brown but I'm trusting vic, for better or worse. At the end of the day I can always repaint the frame baby blue or something.

I mean let's be honest if the purple doesn't solve the problem there's no point spending more $$ repainting a bike that's so 2020. You might as well get a new one with 2021 geo/features. I'll even recycle the Primer for you so it doesn't end up in a landfill. No charge at all. ;-)
Spokes came in today so I was able to build the front wheel. All the 3DV parts I own are now on this bike -cranks, bar end plugs, headset, seatpost collar and hubs. I can't find purple rotors in 200, so that will have to wait.
Sorry about the messy bench, I cleaned it up after the photo.
Awesome!
Looks good. Post some more photos so we can appreciate it in its full glory. :-)
Thanks everyone. My wife hates it so it's nice to have such bicycle offictionatos say such nice things.
Vic, will definitely post some photos. It needs a hood scrub and polish first.
Looks solid. Well done.
Took the new colour scheme out for a ride last night - seems to ride better. I had to rebuild the wheels and used my new tension meter to bring them right up to rim tolerance. The bike feels more precise and transfers power better climbing. Carbon wheels are only as stiff as the spoke tension I suppose. Anyways, I hate fenders on bikes but I'm not going to strip them off just for a photo op - As syncros noted, it's a lot of zip ties. I'm not buying any bikes for a few years, so little projects like this, fork maintenance and so forth will have to satisfy my itch.
Using black zip ties would keep them from standing out so much as they would more or less be invisible against the fender. I think if aesthetics are a concern, which seems to be with all the purple, then it might be worth replacing the white with black. ymmv
ps - I think the purple works well in contrast with the other muted colours.
