did a speed lube on my totem today - put in the 20cc as directed but some squirted back out from the pressure when i disconnected the syringe.
both sides did it a bit - is this normal and/or is there some way to prevent it ?

make sure you get all of the old oil out forst. I grabbed the lowers and did some copressions to squirt the old oil out. Then there should be room for the new oil. Also, make sure you angle the bike down for the removal and up for the addition of new oil.
I have yet to do mine, but it seems like you could compress the fork before you attach the syringe and then you would actually have some suction keeping the lube in.
I've done a couple now and have never seen pressure blowing oil back out. I don't see how there could be any pressure at the speedlube port unless you're compressing your fork, it makes no sense. Are you following the manufacturers directions as to the positioning of your bike when refilling?
I'm following the instructions - they are pretty basic , and I cycled the fork to get the old oil out .
Maybe i'll try compressing the fork before attaching the syringe as suggested.
