If you were going to spend that kind of money you'd be way better off with one of these E-Foils. Though TBH It feels like a lot of money to just tool around on flat water.
The Evolution of the Ebike
The evolution of the ebike rider....
Could you imagine how much those 36s will creak? š¬
Commencal just released 2020 e-bikes specāed with 160mm cranks.Ā
Which year do āelectric assist mountain bikesā just come with foot pegs? My guess is 2025
Gas Gas just dropped a 38 equipped e-bike on their gram story...
Cool. I am (hopefully) still a long ways from needing oneĀ of these to get me up the hill, but I'm hoping by the time I do they will weigh 25 pounds, have a 200km range and cost < $5K.
E8000 has had terminals for lights, and controls on the display for what 3+ years?Ā problem is it only suppors 6V at like 1A. not much you can run on that. I've had this since May and put well over 1000km on the motor, with 3 kids and 2 other bikes around.. ridden more new trails this year than in the last 10.

They are pegs. They just spin around pretending to be a crankset.

Actually, they just simplified things and combined the "pegs" and "throttle' into one.
Iām buying the Gas Gas Moto E-trials bike when it comes out. Iāll āinfluenceā in Squamish with Norona

Out of honest curiosity....why did you ride more new trails?Ā
Quite a few riders who prefer singletrack in Northern Italy and Switzerland, for example,Ā are on ebikes because of this. They can ride more high alpine trails for longer because of the assist. For them, it is a no brainer in their environment.

haha well since the last time we together.. 3 kids and I pretty much ride alone. so being able get up to trails that are typically shuttle trails quickly is nice. Spending 2 weeks in Nelson riding solo riding new stuff everyday helps too.

That does not sound too bad. Ever tried the riding on an old school bike....I mean one without an engine? ;-P
