You missed my point.

Normal 26" wheels are dead.
Plus and fat 26" wheels are not.
That bike is a 26"+ bike, ergo it is not a good example of normal 26" wheels not being dead.

if 26+ wheels gain momentum it will breathe life back into 26" frames with good geo and lots of tire clearance (eg knolly)

It is coming. I've seen Kevin Walsh (Owner of Evil) riding locally on what seems like a Following with a Metric shock with the trunion mount. Just seen it in passing so I can't tell if the front mech mount has gone and the integrated chain guide has been incorporated.

Yeah, a refresh is needed, get rid of the pressfit BB and see if they can figure out how to change the linkage to allow for more shock variations. Can't wait to see what they come out with.

BB I'm not sold on anymore. We clamour over threaded and PF BBs for no real purpose other than exercising our fingertips. Besides the threaded BBs on 75% of my bikes I can't recall another bearing or housing I've threaded in.

I would love to see a revised Slackening. Longer, Boostier, more stack (at least in the bigger sizes) - basically make the XL rideable by the same guy who can ride an XL Wreck.

I have been researching new 29'ers and was on the Liteville site yesterday, their bigger sized bikes run 29's in the front and 27.5 in the rear…would love to try that setup.

yeah interesting concept , especially if you have a bike that you can adjust the ride height to offset the taller front wheel

just dug around , they do a 26 rear with 27.5 front as well

The Riot is a 650+/29 so in theory why not run a 29 front 2.8 minion rear? I guess for any 650+/29 this would work.
