almost old school reach. like, Rocky Mtn bikes reach. maybe it don't matter. was it good, great, awesome?
Somewhere between great and awesome for most, I'd say.
I really don't fit bikes like most people do. My legs are too long and my torso is short. Long reach bikes are really my cup of tea.
The large jeffsy is too small for me and the XL would fit fine, but a 53cm seat tube is for road bikes - or should correspond with a 490mm reach and sizing for really tall folks.
I thought about getting an XL and cut the ST, but why bother…
BUT apart from that, the jeffsy feels absolutely great. It manuals and hops effortlessly, yet maintains great balance for cornering. Rear end is quite progressive and feels very controlled and endless.
140mm front travel is something I haven't ridden for a long time, but with the big wheels you can do a lot with it.
Finish, design and details are absolutely nuts. Even if you don't compare prices/value.
I haven't seen a lot of bikes, regardless of price, which are designed/made with as much care.
I've been riding bling bikes for a couple of seasons, but I'd be absolutely happy with the base level Jeffsy. (Which costs about as much as the wheel set, dropper, saddle and bars of my main ride.)
The only thing I didn't like were the 760mm bars and the grips. Nothing wrong with them, but I want 780 and slim specialized sip grips. Only.
it comes as 2x10 for this season. Works.
But I'm shure it'll be SLX 1x11 for 2017.
And that'll make it a better bike.
Also it's the perfect bike for someone who wants to get into biking. Simply ride. No shitty parts.
Then figure after a couple of seasons if you need a bigger bike as well…
