looking to switch my totem coil internals with solo air. only costs bout $120 thru norco. i find the stock totem spring to soft and the stiffer one only good for big hits but doesnt have much small bump sensitivity with my weight. i think the air will be a little more veratile. anyone disagree? iv never ridden a air shock..im pretty stoked to give it a go.

also just wondering how the 08 totem air was holding up and if anyones having problems with them like last year.

thanks for any advice or opinions

Steve

I'm liking my Lyrik Solo Air. Never ridden air before, but it is all good.

$120 isn't that much and if you don't like it you could always just switch back to your coil internals.

I had the same problem with my Totem coil last year- the stock medium spring was too soft for drops and hucks, and the firm spring was really harsh on the small bumps and tree roots

after my first Totem went kaput (seveal times) i got the Totem Solo Air and found this just right in terms of setting it using air pressure

shame i only got 5 days out of it, before it too went kaput…

I'm currently using the Lyric 2-step ( 2008 ) and its been awesome 7 months in

love being able to change the spring rate using just a shock pump ;)
