i was impressed during my brief time on a set of guides. long term/mass reporting will be key in determining whether sram has finally upped its brake game. but even if the reviews are solid, aesthetics, lever shape and use of mineral oil vs. dot fluid keep shimano's brakes firmly in the lead (for me):

lol that is your only reasoning? Both dot and mineral have their positives/negatives. I wouldn't say one is superior to the other though. Although riding a set of XTs and having the lever pump up feels super awesome. Ill stick with my guides they feel amazing.
