i am upset, these paint options are the only things holding me back from picking one up. i know that the way the bike looks doesnt matter and its all based on how it rides but this crap pushed the term into a whole new level, i will not buy a bike that looks that bad.
specialized paintjob poll
demo 7 paintjob, wtf?
o great lets :deadhorse:
ps , i think they are wicked
, however, notice the black guys pants don't leave much to the imajination.
So where's the poll?
So where's the poll?
i was still typing it up when the thread was submitted.
so which colors dont u like, all of them, or just the ones that look literally like poop? cuz i don thikn the green/black demo is bad at all, the ones with the checker patterns aren't bad, and the sx's look alright. i guess the only one i dont like is the big hit that comes in brown, im fine with the others
anus
i almost puked when i saw the checkered one.
The frame only is the fugliest, but I might still get one if I take it for a test drive and it's as good as Jerry says.
You have to wonder what they were thinking.
Maybe the thought came to one of the designer's heads when he was sitting on the crapper.
I like 'em but am impartial to the paint job. I'm looking ahead on the trail and not what's between my legs, so I really don't care what it looks like as long as it does the job.
… good.. bad.. I'm the guy with the gun.
I thought specialized made bikes, not golf apparel
Now what's not to love about this?
I saw JW and a few other guys with the 7s today at Whistler. It looks pretty good actually. The black and white check Demo8? looks awesome..
Is there a Vancouver in Taiwan?! I had no idea!!
Nothing sums up my life's achievements like my stuffed corpse, suplexing a cougar.

IMO, you should personalize your own bike. That looks like specialized has done it themselves. Very cool, but not very nice. I think it looks decent, but it could look better. A little too bmx as well.
Now what's not to love about this?
my god.
i love specialized but i hope they aren't actually producing that bike with that paint job.
i think its cool to have bikes with unique colors and i think the checkered paint jobs is all right(even though the checkers dont play off of the frame color) its cool that all bikes aren't black with skulls and crossbones now but this is really bad. i would be really surprised to see somebody with that bike on the trails(other than a spoiled 10 year old kid).
i would put money on the fact that they will not sell as many demos with that paint scheme compared to other demos.
they should offer the demos with the raw exposed metal look(clearcoat over metal) just to be on the safe side.
but in the end i would still ride the thing.
ride more, post less.
The "ugly" paint seems to be working. It's love hate, but just look at how many post and threads it's generating. Thats marketing baby.
