I used the trailmaster in leather/titanium for two seasons. It was the least comfortable saddle I have owned in a while. When it died and I got something else I realized that for me having. Some flex in the saddle was more important than padding. The trailmaster has lots of padding but is stiff as a board. I have several sdg saddles that I far prefer as well as a couple of the old ti flite saddles. It wasn't a case of me being too light to flex the saddle either as I was 200lbs and rode almost every day and that f&^cker never broke in for me.
speaking of saddles...
I have a Trailmaster DT that has worked well for me and more importantly looks awesome.
I did also have an original Trailmaster LTD with the ti rails that didn't work as comfortably for me, I'm not sure why. And the ti rails creaked incessantly. I don't know if the new LTDs are any different, but at that price premium I'm not about to find out.
Another DT Trailmaster user here - won't go to anything else. The regular leather wore away with wet-riding / dirty ass rubbing on the leather.
Chromag Overture. Very nice.
I just picked up a Lynx DT. It came down to it or the Trailmaster and I went for the Lynx because 1) matchy matchy with my bike better than the Trailmaster DTs they had in stock, and 2) I felt that Id like to try a saddle with more padding than I usually use.
Love it.
SDG fan here. On their new Radar saddle and love it. Really liked the Falcon as well.....I too find Chromag saddles uncomfortable.
Trailmaster DT was good for me on my first bike that I rode for 3ish years. New bike came with SDG Fly which was way too narrow, went with a Fabric Scoop medium width and have been loving it the last 2 seasons.
I either had the Trailmaster DT or Lynx DT. An awful saddle for myself. Too much padding. Especially on the nose. Have two Mood DTs and two Devas I prefer much more.
