Source for custom length spokes

Hi all,

since most places only stock spokes in 2mm even numbers increments, and my build needs odd numbers, I need to get some spokes cut and rolled. I used to deal with SpokeService, but he's closed shop a few years ago.

Any leads on some other places who roll threads instead of cutting them? Looking for Sapim Race or Force spokes ideally. Thanks!

I just round to the nearest 2mm increment, and never had an issue with too long or too short.

You should have a ~2mm leeway with most spokes in either direction so it shouldn't matter.

However, someone in the lower mainland has got to have a Phil Woods or Morizumi. There's probably a dozen of those machines down there! Maybe Mighty Riders?

Where are you located? Lynn Valley bikes will do custom length spokes but not sure on exact options.

I was just going to say the same thing. I think they have a roller machine for it too. I've stopped by when I needed to replace a few here and there, but they're not cheap (I tend to be). I'm not sure about the availability of high-end options either.

Dream Cycles on commercial can definitely cut spokes to length. You might have to bring the spokes too them if they are a specific brand/type.

Thanks all for your info! I am on the East Coast so wherever ships would be fine. I'll check those places out. Cheers!

Where are you at? I'm 100% certain there's plenty of places in Toronto, Ottawa and Quebec with high end spoke cutter and threader tools. Pick up the phone and see who has a phil woods or morizumi. We assumed you were lower mainland.
