They changed the Horst pivot location. Bigly! Discuss….?

Id more like to discuss why they decided to make a bike that seems to overlap so much with the Capra. I would have thought a 130-140mm 27.5er would make more sense in their lineup.

For the record, the above shows the Jeffsy 29er and new Jeffsy 27.5 I believe.

That's correct new 27.5'er on top.

I would have figured a smaller travel 27.5 or a Capra 29er not a bigger travel 27.5 design bearing the same name and color combo .

I Ike it. The spec Is great lots of options. I am buying a new bike this year and it's this a sight or a Troy
Similar specs on the other two are 1500$ more
I liken this bike to the enduro stumpjumper comparison.
Lots more research to do.

parts group and pricing on these bike are very fair and a solid bang for the $$ the top shelf bike is a steal IMO

If I were to guess, it would be the decreased BB drop on the 27.7 model requiring a different location for the pivot to obtain the desire anti-squat values (also affecting the anti-rise ones as well) for a 150-160mm bike.

A similar top spec from the competition would be 10K. Pretty dialled! That being said, OOPS a Fox 34 and not a 36 on the extended top spec?

Maybe they'll introduce a longer reach and longer travel 180mm Capra later this year?

Racy or freeride Capra, fun 27 Jeffsy and a proper DH bike for racers?

180mm bikes are making a comeback.

Bring back the totem!

I've said this for years. Now is a great time for FR bikes to make a come back as tech makes them so much lighter than back in teh day.

I think that the Capra pro came with a 180mm Lyrik last year.

Seriously considering the Jeffsy 27 CF One. Also looking at the Giant Trance Advanced 1, Troy carbon and Sight. Problem is the Troy and Sight are way more expensive for similar spec to the Giant and YT. The AL One is also awesome value @ $3,800.

Need to figure out sizing, normally go large but reach looks long on the 27. At 5'10" 30" inseam I also need to do some math on whether I will be able to use the 150mm dropper on the large at full extension (and if a 125mm dropper will be low enough for descending).

I think I would sell the X1/Guide RS and replace with XT 1x. Cheaper to replace drivetrain stuff and I prefer Shimano brakes. Hopefully wouldn't lose any money doing that as long as the take-offs were unused when I sell em.

My buddy called YT and they won't have any display models in Squamish until April. Sucks. Don't really want to buy a $3,800-$5,000 bike without at least sitting on it to check sizing.

I believe Dave at Bicycle Hub has a YT Capra there for a demo/parking lot/sizing test.

check PB forum on the Jeffsy , there is a few local members with the Capra an the 29" Jeffsy .You might be able to size from one of theirs . I can tell you I tried a medium and a large Jeffsy and I fit the large better and I am similar height and inseam .
