ohhhhh. I knew that was there. I guess i misunderstood your description of that mode. I was under the impression that it would look like the default linear mode, except there would be no more multiple pages to a thread. Like, its just one looooong page that has every single post on it.
I dont like that mode where you have to click on every response hahah!! sorry

 I love these people who build themselves up by saying they dont care about the way their bikes or themselves look. Everyone does. Granted, some more than others, but its so annoying. If something cost $10, and it performes great, and its competition cost the same but it doesnt perform quite as good (but is close), and looks alot better? Sorry, ill go for the one that looks better. Its not a big deal. Its more human nature than anything.
I think what everyone who's tried these shoes are saying that they work so
good you won't care what they look like once you're on your bike, and they
feel so comfortable that you still won't care. It's how it starts; you stop
caring what your shoes look like then next thing you know you're living in a
shack in the woods of montana…at which point you won't have a girlfriend
and there won't be any girls around for you to care about your looks and
you'll look at yourself in the mirror and say, "damn I'm kool".:mullet:
And all this because you bought a pair of shoes JUST for the performance and
not the looks…[thinks to himself] maybe I should shave…[reconsiders and
thinks]naaa, maybe i'll just go for a bike ride instead………….:thepimp:

Adjust the settings so it doesnt run over mutliple pages… MY GOD WHAT ARE YOU NEW OR SOMETHING [napoleon] IDIOT[/napolean]:dizzy:
Man, thanks for the idea. I have used and set up phpBB before, but this one has a lot more options than I am used too.
It was a very long night crying myself to sleep.
Two rides with the new 5-10's. They felt weird for the first while (new bike as well so that may have had something to do with it). After climbing up and the first few minutes going down, I got used to the fact that you can't just slide your foot around on your pedals. I already knew they'd grip well, but they're pretty comfortable too. Ugly or not, best 90 bucks I've spent in a long time.

Yeah - that takes a little getting used to. I'm still finding that when I want to move my foot on the pedal I have to remember to actually lift my foot. Awesome grip. Awesome shoe.

I know some 80s headbangers that would have loved this all black high top. Just need a matching jean jacket with the arms cut off and a Slayer logo jiffy markered on the back.
thinking of getting mine off of Pricepoint.com for $75 :)

Dont know what everyone is on about, i think the 5-10s are an alright looking shoe and when worn with a pair of jeans they look like any other casual shoe.
Look better than alot of the shoes i see people wearing these days
I like my bike! its good.

Easy there tiger… buying based on looks is fine when all the products are the same quality… but when something is obviously better than the other products out there, looks go out the window (except at the bar).
The best thing any rider on flat pedals can do is get into a pair of Five-Tens. Nothing comes close, and until you have actually tried them, you have no idea what you are missing.
Super tacky rubber soles grip your pedals like you would not belive. They also don't get chewed up by your pedals, and they last forever. I am well into year two on mine, and I ride in them a ton, and they are still in great shape.
Its the best $90 you will spend. MEC and Cove have them.
I have to agree my feet almost get stuck in my pedals, these Five-Tens are so grippy.
Love em!
Vans Rowley XL's waffle sole and light weight gets my nod.

Personally, I agree. I think they look good. Someone else on here said they were ugly. I couldn't care less if they looked like they came from Zellers if they still gripped like they do.
Well, after all the talk on these shoes I went and got a pair of the high top ones. They are just unreal. super comfy, and the grip is phenomenal.
Overall, there is only one word to describe them: Scrumtralescent.
I walked into mec with the intention of buying some five- tens, broadway didn't have my size so I drove to north van. I was bummed with the fit they were uncomfortable as hell, I would have had to double sock it for sure and they didn't look very breathable which is probably great for the coast but in Kelowna it's just not going to work out. So it looks like another pair of vans for me, but I really wanted the five tens. oh well.
