Go Flick, you wont be disappointed.

As far as the fork goes though, why not a Slider? Anything wrong with a 6" DC fork?

My slider has been the titties so far. No complaints whatsoever.

Monster Mike has a Street Setup Scream, and it's pretty fly. It's a west coast bike on the east though. Avalanch rear shock and a Monster T. He does some sick shit though.

Why would you change from a 2.25" Fox RC to a 2.0" Fox RC?

to reduce rear travel from 6,7[HTML_REMOVED]8 to 5,6[HTML_REMOVED]7 and to use the lower shock mount of the frame(lower riding position).

Sound's like a sketchy plan to me, but maybe things are different in Spain…

Would the 2" stroke shock have a shorter i2i measurement?

the lower shock mount is not possible to use with a 2'25", as the rear stays hits the seatpost. …

A single speed, 6" travel Banshee Scream with a SC fork….

Well, for one thing, good luck on the SS. The chain tension changes on FS frames. SS ain't goin to be the easiest thing to accomplish. Vertical wheel travel = chain tension change. On a 6" travel bike, there isnt a tensioner in the world big enough to handle that. Not that I know of anyway.

If your concerned about weight, sell the Scream and buy a bike more suited to your needs. Why turn a DH/FR beast of a big bike into an urban assult small bike? That'd be like putting K-mart tire's on a Ferrari.

Weight can't be a concern if your pushing a scream. Frame and shock hit the 12lb mark dont they?

And an SC fork (at 5" no less) is going to FUCK your geometry. You'll be riding a head angle steeper than my Stumpjumper's.

Sell the Scream, buy a Chaparral. Or a Hardtail if your going to go SS. I think a Single Speed 5x5 Banshee Scream sound's a bit sketchy.

OR, you could save alot of money, time, and trouble and sell the scream and buy a bike for what you want. The jerry rig system of a SS on such a big bike will have more moving parts than a standard geared system. Hmmm. 1 moving part (derailuer) versus the 3 tensioners you'll have to run. Increase drag much?

You realize a Manitou Sherman Slider only weigh's 6.3LBS right? 6" DC. If weight is your reason for no DC, then consider the Slider.

Why push a Honda when you can drive an Acura? Sell the scream, buy the Chaparral, it's exactly what you want, and you will cut weight and all that business. Of course that's just my reasonable reply.

If you MUST keep the scream, get some pics of it when your done. I wanna see the first SS Scream :)

Sherman. Marz have issues with cracked crowns. I like the feel of the Manitou's better than a Marz, so I say get the Sherman :)
