Anyone had any time on the Sette Vexx, or even seen one IRL?

Being the cheap wad I am always looking to save some $, but dont want to be the test case either.

Some talk of the Head Angle being a bit steep, but not alot of info out there on this thing.

Comments opinions?

Looks like a well speced ride for $2599.00 complete on Price Point. Boxxers, Codes, Vivid, 43 lbs.
I don't see anything glaringly wrong with it for the $$$.

Except the 66HA. That's pretty steep for a DH bike.

It may sound like a great deal, but if it doesn't feel right, then it isn't really money well spent.

Must do more research:

Just some random bikes I was looking at (I know they are not all in the same category just comparing different Geo.)

Bike Head Angle
Giant Faith 2010 66.8
Giant Glory 2010 65.5
Santa Cruz Bullit 67.5
Santa Cruz Driver 8 66.5
Exil Revolt 64-66
Sette Vexx 66
Iron horse 7point7 67.5 (current bike HA to steep IMHO)

If you don't know already, this frame is a cookie-cutter design. Mass produced somewhere overseas then stickers slapped on for each company that uses them.

its kind of a cheap reversed eng'd clone of a FOES 2;1 Mono..

warning Sette is price point's house brand..so dotn expect it to be the best money your ever spent.

Yeah I knew this, however almost all bikes are produced overseas anyways….

A Taiwanese company named Astro Engineering makes the Sette frame. They make frames for lots of other companies like KHS, Opus, etc.

Well the build spec isn't bad at all for the price…so, not bad money spent either.

Depending on where / how you ride, I wouldn't get toooo hung up on head angles. There's a world of difference between a World Cup DH track like Fort William and a typical trail around here. My Session 10 has a head angle around 66 degrees and I quite like the nimble feeling that this gives.
