Ive been researching and trying to find out if anyone out there makes a shoe like a 5.10 in size 14.
Anyone know if there is one out there?

Thanks

IMO this is your best option. Not quite as much outright grip as a 5.10 (you could always get them stealth resoled) but more compliant and less wooden feeling.

Lotek makes some (if not, all) of their shoes in size 14. www.lotekbrand.com

Also, I'd bet that some of those trendy Nike 6.0 come in size 14 too.

How about those new Nike 6 BMX shoes? Not sure how they would last tho.

Aren't those made specifically for clipless pedals?

I bought a pair of 6.0 for 40$ , thought they look cool, they're comfy for the city but the sole SUCKS for riding, in fact I only tried pedaling with them on the street and they are really bad compare to other bike specific shoes.

Im not so sure about that Ethnies shoe JLC.The sole is WAY too thick for one and its got an air cushion in it which is probably not very durable for riding a MTB.

Im not sure what a 14 is but I'd go with these:

I have a pair of both 5.10 and the Shimanos and both have some good things and bad IMO.

That kinda sucks considering Shandro is on of the project riders. I've seen them on more than a few people these days but I guess it was just the pretty colours that drew them into the swooshy trap.

Maybe a set of these ???

Holy crap size 14 shoes …we can see your wife/girlfriend smiling right now :damn:

If you can't find a nice set of riding shoes (ie 5.10) I am sure you can find some basketball shoes with soft flat soles ??

Good luck either way guy :martini:

Tuumbaq

I used to ride with Vallely's before 5.10's. BMX'ers like Ruben Alcantara used to run them before they had signature shoes. Steve Jones at Dirt uses them too. It the weather is dry I still prefer them to 5.10's because as I said, they're more compliant and less clogg like.

I've heard that you can get the 5.10 stealth rubber put on other shoes. It might be rumour though.

http://www.goldstarshoerebuilders.com/ these guys are listed on 5.10's site as stealth rubber resolers and are in Vancouver. It might be worth giving them a call to see if they can retread your favourite shoe.

Ewan has size 13 flippers, but he's able to squeek into 5.10's

Yeah that sucks man, I have enough problems finding shoes. I can just imagine how much harder that size makes it. It sucks 5 10 doesn't make anything bigger than 13 theyre too tight as it is(and rare). Perhaps do your best impression of an ancient chinese woman and fold your toes over? Or get em stretched by a boot fitter.

.Robinson - I feel your pain. I wear size 14 / 15, depending on the shoe. I'm actually wearing a pair of the Shimano BMX shoes (can't remember the model). The size 48 is a bit snug when you try them on, but they pack out after a few wearings. They're worth considering.

Before I started wearing those, I used to use Vans and had good luck with them. The soles seem to be soft enough to grip on flat pedals.

Why not just stick with Orchid shoes … Did you not used to wear those?
They are a little pricey I guess but I find they stick to flat pedals very well.
