I've been using some clear plastic adhesive stuff used in the ski industry to prevent excess scratching and wear on my frame from shoes, mud, etc on chainstays, downtube, and anywhere I get cable rub. Unfortunately I can't get anymore of the stuff. Any suggestions on where I can get some kind of clear plastic adhesive stuff to protect my paint job from shuttle scratches and general wear?

…a tip keep your frame covered in that 3M Paint Protector. It'll increase the value of your bike when you come to sell it, and the bike won't look abused if you need to send it in for warranty.
lordco should have some 3M paint protector.
3M 300LSE Hi Strength Adhesive I think is the stuff you want. don't expect it to ever come off again though
MX shops sell clear adhesive sheets 24"x18" - 2 sheets cost $20

3M Paint Protector from Lordco. Comes in a 4", 6" and 8" width x 40yard roll/strip. I usually get the 6" stuff if I can. Read the instructions for putting it on the frame. I use the recommended mixture of 50% isopropyl alcohol and 50% water to wet the frame and film, and then squeeze out all liquid. Pop bubbles with a pin. Works and looks awesome.
DeanW's suggestion looks interesting too.

For my frame i went to a custom auto decal shop and got this clear plastic stuff they stick on cars to prevent stone chips. fairly sheap for how much you get too.
