Saint brakes – overkill for AM?

2011 codes are a good option too

I'm riding the Saints on my Nomad, and I love the power. I'm over 260 greared up and there is no want for more power. and if anything, I would like to go with smaller rotors.

I had the older Hope M4's and loved them, and would like to try the new Hopes, but I cannot find any problems with the Saints, so they will stay on the bike.

Thanks guys. From what I've read here and elsewhere and from talking to friends I'm pretty convinced that the Saints are the way to go for me. If for some reason they end up being too powerful (is that even a thing?) then I can always switch them over to my DH bike…

When I hear that a brake has modulation, I think to myself "it has weakness". I am not heavy, but I like the most brake I can get. The brake that applies with the least amount of pressure from the finger. I have not had good luck with XT's. I have loved how avids work when they are not having a problem, but I have the problematic generation of XX's which are a problem. I hear codes have the same problems which will be fixed for NEXT YEAR - 2012 - thanks avid. I plan to put Saints on my AM bike. I have no doubts about it.

Cheaper and way more then enough stopping power. Check out CRC.

Got Saints on the big bike so have a good feel for both brakes.

I am pushing 240 LB without gear and running a 8/7" setup on the little bike. More then enough stopping power.
