Highroller for the win!

The Thule Sidearm is quicker to use as you just ratchet the arm on to the tire. The Sidearm will touch your fork and rub the paint off. Not a big deal in my opinion but a consideration if you're investing in a system.

You can place the arm slightly forward on the tire and it will hold well without rubbing.

Also if you want to fit a box, the thule will fit alternate without much trouble, whereas the Yakima are pretty much just forward facing bikes?

Go for a ride south of the boarder and pick them up at REI for 169 bucks. Good riding and cheaper racks.

only 35 but still beat the 30-39 BC cup Champion 4 out of 6 races

Thanks, I owe you a beer!

Did you ship it to a US address in Point Roberts or Blaine?

I did a quick search on old threads and found the following recommendations, hopefully they are still current

c/o The Letter Carrier
145 Tyee Drive,
Point Roberts,
WA 98281

Hagen's of Blaine
816 Peace Portal Dr
Blaine, WA 98230
Main Phone: 360-332-5246
Fax: 360-332-5511

To the OP, apologies for the derail.

I'm leaning bit towards the highroller. Price wise, I'll be getting it through work and highroller is cheaper by $25.

uh, that's Yakima's Frontloader, no? I have same rack, and it said Frontloader on the box. Great rack for factory rails. If you have Yakima rails, than the Highroller is a better connection to the rails.

I use Hagens because Blaine is closer for me, but both services should be just as good.

I've used both… No issues with either, but the PR boarder is quicker.

I just used Point 2 Point, more organized than TLC. Check their website.

Just took a look at the photo of the Yakima above. It looks less flexible in terms of positioning on the car than the Thule. The Thule can be positioned fore/aft on the bars, the Yak looks like it will always be positioned in a fixed location, relative to the bars.

I sent Hagen's of Blaine email to register before I order, Blaine is a bit better for me.

Just out of curiosity, did anyone try using this rack with a road bike? I'm doing ride to conquer cancer this year from Vancouver to Seattle, training with buddies requires driving to meet up point. For now the road bike goes in the trunk with front wheel off (easy).
