Seeking hive mind input...

Long story short Roach Vest shredded when taken out by hit and run driver. Insurance will cover replacing. But since Roach is no more what is out there close to it? Has to come from somewhere that has proof of purchase as need to submit to insurance.

LOL. Nothing can replace that Roach vest. I still judge all shorts against the Roach shorts I replaced last year, and none measure up.

Yup have a vest and couple pairs of shorts. Best products from the day. As for a new vest I picked up one from MEC a couple yrs back. Not the same quality but does the job.

Not the model I have but similar.

This one is a bit more wet weather design. I might check it out I prefer a vest even in the rain .

I'm really curious, what did this vest look like. For some reason I'm picturing something a bit classy but I assume this is wrong and it is more cycling related. It's just that Roach had it's own sense of style and for some reason I envision a roach vest to look more sophisticated. Something like this?

I know someone who can rebuild it and has the equipment (he was a friend of Ingrid)

This is literally the best vest I've ever owned. Wind proof, virtually water proof and super breathable. Roadie pockets for your crap.

I have switched to this material for all my inclement weather riding. I know it may not be everyone's cup of tea on here but the performance is so much better than the crap MTB companies pump out.

I waited for sales on chainreaction and picked up Castelli ROS/Perfetto stuff at 50% off and have never been happier with any kit in my life.
