I never understand people hosing their bikes off. Just seems like a great way to accelerate service intervals.

If you use a gentle stream of water when the mud is wet it comes off really easily and is no worse than the rain/mud you may be riding in. Following up with lube is a key part as well. Just letting the bike dry on it's own is the faster way to cause wear and tear. Another reason for a gentle rinse is a lot of people bring their bikes inside, so rinsing off that mud keeps you from dragging all that dirt inside as well.

Ride Wrap is worth its weight in (what's worth a lot more than gold?).

Apologise for what? You made a good first post about using 3M and if there was a like button for posts here I would have hit it. Then 5 posts later you basically said the same thing. Then 2 posts later you did it again! Like ok, we got the message. If you can't see the humour in that then it might be time to step back from the keyboard. Maybe it's just your style but you have a tendency to harangue these things to death sometime - like the chainsaw episode.

If you haven't noticed already you'll probably love my new thread in the gear forum.

holy fuck dude it was just a funny moment. seems like a couple other people agreed. don't take it personally.

I dont even ride my bike, i just pull it out of the shed every once in a while and pressure wash it out of spite.

Will ride wrap or some other type of clear tape keep the paint from peeling and the bearings from rusting solid?

Is there a product i could find at napa?
