Question, does anyone have any experience with this?

It seems like an affordable way to both raise the front and slacken the HTA. I mulleted a bike and I have another bike which came with longer than stock 175mm cranks. I’m hoping it’ll raise the bb a little with a small bonus slackening. Thoughts?

Not tried one, but have played around with geometry on my bikes a lot.

Plug in the geometry of your current bike, and again with +10mm A-C to see if you like the numbers.

I used something similar from Cane Creek. I did it to get some more clearance from fork crown to downtube. Turns out I didn't need that extra clearance, and unlike a regular crown race it doesn't have the rubber seal, so dirt got in and made my headset lower bearing creak constantly. I didn't notice any difference in handling or anything.

I had a Devinci Django way back in 2017 or so and at that time Devinci was selling a spacer almost exactly like that to "adjust" the geometry. I think it was their way of admitting the HA was a little steep on that bike to start with.

Couldn't have identified which was which if I had to based on feel. Funny that mountain bikers get into feeling a few mm here or there. A good part of bike fit is psychological. I mean fork A-C is such a dynamic thing anyway when actually riding the bike ...

Last time I bought a - 2° headset I had a choice of the external cup being the upper or lower.

Would depend on your head set size, but I know pivot offer (or used to) a 16 or 17mm lower headset cup, meant for converting from 29 to 27.5 front wheel on the switchblade, so that'd give you even more height. Just another possibility.

I've got an angleset I'll probably never use again. https://www.pinkbike.com/buysell/3418123/ happy to swap or something. Just seems wasted lying in a bit forever unused.

And…

First of all: Bike24 as always top. I'm actually a fan of reverse, too. However, I would like to subtract 1-3 more stars here. With the Spacer, my geometry experiment was successful: I was able to determine for little money whether I should install more suspension travel or not (conclusion: No, too little pressure on the front wheel). In this respect, the spacer should be out again. That's where the fun began. The installation was already extremely difficult, the part was very tight. This then took revenge during disassembly: Fat quirks in my poetry Ultimate fork crown, two scrapped screwdrivers and the spacer I ultimately had to cut with the Dremel. In this respect, my conclusion is unfortunately hands off!

Unless you have an integrated headset, using a longer lower cup seems like a better idea. Crown races can be fiddly regardless, I can see how a 10mm tall one installed on the fork taper could be challenging, especially removal. 

Pressing/removing lower headset cup is likely a much easier process.

Still a neat product but definitely niche.
