im wondering if i can just go to the local hydraulics shop and have them match up seals and bushings for my shiver. im sure it would cost less, but would they work as well, and will they be as tight as stock zocchi ones?

peace

I've never tried the aftermarket ones for a Shiver or Monster (I never had to do seals) but I have done it with a Z1 and Boxxers.

Push comes to shove, they are just triple ring oil seals, and oil seals are oil seals…and aftermarket ones are about $4 each! Bring in your old ones to match them up. There are numbers on them that allow them to do so.

Buchings are from the manufacturer…Marzocchi.

You couldn't possibly need bushing already?

no need to do bushings, they last forever in these forks. If it aint broke, don't fix it!

Super easy to service. I wouldn't even change seals if it isn't leaking, just switch the oil (Use Golden Spectro 125-150, it is the best!)

well my fork is filling with air really quickly, like it needs to be bled after 3 days or so, and im thinking new seals would help fix this problem. maybe?

Nope. Try changing the o rings at the top of the cartridge rod. You can find new ones at Home Depot (you may not have that) or any good hard ware store or automotive store.
