I say go for the white industries. The rear hubs are sick and second to KING's. They ratchet nicely and smoothly, and DAMN are they loud. KING's sould like weed wackers, WI's sound like a fucking machine that makes weed wackers. They are louder and will scare animals and small to medium sized children.
I like my women like I like my Scotch. 15 years old and mixed up with coke.

they are insane. you spin the wheel and it sounds like a racket turned gattling gun.
hadleys sound sick too.

i dont think thats right the ringle abbah hub is considered pretty quick engagment and it only has 36 i shoudl have a hadley in a week on my new yeti dh 9( :thepimp: ) and ill tell you how it is
Chris King= 72 points of engagement. Buzz like a hornet and fun as heck to ride with at Whistler. Can be quite pricey though. Some deals can be had from certain stores…especially if you get the full wheel built up.
Best high quality hub for the money would have to be Hadley. 36 teeth and fast engagement at 10 degrees. I think they've got the bolt on option too.
Sun Ringle apparently makes a high quality, quick engaging hub too. Don't know too much about it.
Brands like Atom Lab aren't really worth it IMO. They look durable, but at around 20 degrees between engagement, it's no faster than Shimano XT and cost way more.
shimano, non-silent clutch, 16 clicks
SRAM 9.0SL, 18 clicks
hadley, 32 clicks
shimano silent clutch is a cheap fast engagement option. it's faster than regular shimano clutches, but some trials riders complain it's not as reliable. it also has a somewhat mushy feel. i have one on my commuter bike and it's great cause it makes my bike silent.
inventing a fast engagement freehub body that bolts onto shimano hubs would make you a very rich man… if you could get by the patents.
ive got the blue bolt on hadely on the team shore and it clicks so much. its rad :thepimp:
regular hubs are from 12-18… hadley and hopes are 32 (pretty sure) and CK's are 72…. stealth are instant (clutch)…
You can EASILY feel the difference between a CK and a regular hub… i rode my ck for 2 weeks then my other bike… so much of a difference… i love my CK…
Hey-Hey-Hey it's BACK!
