Got a couple of rides on the ttx and it's quite a different experience from the x2!
It feels poppy, light and playful when bouncing around on the gravelroad going to the trails. I was worried that it might be underdampened even. When hitting the trails, it sits noticeably higher in the travel, which is really nice for avoiding pedal strikes. The rear wheel tracks nicely and the bike feels much more lively compared to the x2. The big surprise however was hitting some medium and larger hits at speed, it is ridiculously composed! All of a sudden the compression dampening kicks in and handles everything in a controlled manner.
The bike feels lighter and more precise with the ttx, and i like that!
Settings so far: 27% ish sag which is 180psi (vs 210 psi in the x2 for same sag). Settings for rebound in the middle, and compression 3 clicks from closed. Stock spacers in shock.
Sounds awesome! Enjoy! Ohlins dampers actually do something when you adjust them, I feel like so many shocks the dampers are mostly just for show. I love that feel of actually getting damping and support.
