Oh fuck my feelings. Oh HOW they have been hurt. Oh fuck the pain. The pain.

Thanks for the advice though. 11 speed is still pretty new though right? I suppose the trickle time will be soon enough though. Everybody and their gramma wants to go single ring up front it seems.

Wrong. Always.

tell me more…

currently I'm running 9 sp XT cranks and 9 sp rear. these rings will fit my current 9 speed SRAM chain, and also my future 10 speed chain and new 10 sp cassette?

my set-up is 9spd but i will be upgrading in the future just not 100% on weather it will be 10spd or 11spd

i have been running a single sprocket set-up since the 90s , nothing new , the new stuff is 10spd/11spd with 40/42t rear cogs thats what everyone is switching over too

IIRC. 8,9,10 and 11 speed cog and chainring teeth are all the same width. The inner dimension of chains has not changed since 8 speed. Only the outer plates are thinner and the pins are flush. There is no such thing really as 9 or 10 speed cranks. The tabs and spacing has not changed for some time. Prtty sure 8 speed cranks have those dimensions too. The rings do have different ramps and pins to better pickup the chains to shift.

Picked one up today for my Stylus, unfortunately I'm waiting on a new headset before I can test it out!

Just rode Train Wreck, Runaway Train, Sea to Sky, Justa Nother Trail, Trash. On a hard tail that's lots of bouncing. No dropped chain. No chain guide, XX1 derailleur to hold it all together.

Yup, on my Enduro (160mm travel) with no guide or tensioner. new type 2 X9 and new chain along with the RF 30t NW. I measured chain with shock at max travel to ensure it was long enough in 36t ring.

Bombed down Neds last week and ride was quieter than before.
