Anyone have any suggestions on what 12" pedal bike with a handbrake to get for my son? I want to get him something of decent quality as he'll be using it for a while and then be handing it down to his sibling. Any local shops carry anything solid?
The Cleary Gecko has my attention but I can't seem to find any in Canada.

I'm a fan of the Spawn bikes. Different (now Comor) stocks them locally. Not sure of their 12" model offhand, but we bought the 16" and loved it.
Spawn would be the go to. Though both of my kids grew out of the 12" super fast.
It looks like we'll be biting the bullet on one of the Spawn's. Holy crapballs they're pricy. I BMX'd for years and never had a bike that expensive. My son rides almost daily and can hopefully pass it down to a future brother or sister so I can somewhat justify it.
They have great resale aswell - so you can likely still sell the bike for 2/3 of the price in 3 years if its not totalled.
