I usually ride my bike to work 3-4 days per week. I usually skip the ride if I'm planning to do squats/deadlifts at the gym or if I think it might be too icy. West Van to downtown, 22-25 km round trip depending if I go the long or short way around Stanley Park on the way home. I avoid the causeway at all times.

It's decently fast and the stopping power is amazing! I would definitely enjoy upgrading to a lighter/stiffer wheel set. I rarely bring my laptop home but I tend to work long hours and bring a ton of food to work, so my pack is pretty heavy in the AM and super light on the way home. If I do have to bring the laptop home it goes in the pack.
Here's mine. From New West to BCIT along the CVG is 21km return. I rode today and will ride tomorrow but since I've been bringing our new dog to the office I've not commuted much. I can take the long route and add another 25km to my ride (which I did today).

2010 kona unit. have a gig downtown vancouver this summer so the plan will be to ride 40km/day. or, maybe hop on the skytrain at some point. great bike, comfortable, although with fenders and the rack, rather heavy. basically a dumping ground for old parts from my mountain bike

no, just seems to be just hanging off the side of the top tube out of view i guess. it's one of those magic-shine velcro straps that are really stretchy and it moved around quite a lot. the battery has since died so that light is toast

My daily driver in winter mode, with snow tires. Roundabout 11 or 12000 km on her now… Commute isn't far, about 5 km at the moment, but I use the bike for everything.

The 35c kenda's on my Simcoe have been nice balance of cush and weight. Only flatted once in 15mo. Reflective stripe is nice feature for commuter tires too..
