It's a not a meat huck fork, so for the riding you are describing Falcon, I wouldn't recommend it. **

im buying one and they rule. i'm a fairly smooth rider now and don't do huge hucks. i rode one a bit and loved it. i love the weight distribution of the fork - the weight is up higher i the legs because of its inverted design and thus i think it handles smoother. and it felt stiffer than my dj3 qr20. it will be perfect for my style of riding. :)

Blaine, I'm sure you'll dig the Shiver Jr. I think I know someone who is selling one:thepimp:

I don't think it'll be as stiff as your dj3 QR20, unless you mean when it's compressed while you're riding.

maybe it wasn't stiffer, more like stronger. its hard to describe but it felt sturdier somehow and i think it has to do with that weight distribution.

I agree with most everything that has been said here. What I disagree with is the fact that you can and will feel the torsional flex in that fork when your riding through a rock garden or any where else the wheels "fall" into tight spots you have to muscle your way through, even if your a smooth rider.
I had a 2002 AC1 with one on it, and man I could feel that thing flex and I'm only 185lbs, great fork other wise. Oh one last word the lock out stopped work this past summer for the kid I sold it to. I'd say get it if your 160lbs and under.
