Way overrated. Not even that much grip and very heavy. Just get some cheaper wellgos. All these fancy pedals rarely hold up to much abuse.
The Syncros would reverse that trend though.
for weight nothing beats wellgo MG1 -especially with a ti axle(308g)- absolutely destroys everything else!!
for grip my vote would be on shimano DX with long pins
for toughness i don't think there's a possibility of besting the syncros in either stainless or Ti (yes, Titanium, Marshall has informed me that come interbike-ish time there will be a Ti version of the mental. Crazy or what?). The grip could be tops too, going by the pin layout and style.
They've got the guns but we've got the numbers! Gonna win ya we're takin over.
oh and for price/performance the odyssey JC are the ones to beat.

Holzfellers are very nice, I ran them all last year no issues. Now I'm running Specialized Lo Pro mags. So far theyre pretty slick and theyre super light.
im SOLD on these units…
an entire season of bashing and spinning adn they are still perfect…
not a single pin wrecked/torn out… and im VERY harsh on pedals..
I got a set of these cheapies at MEC, for $19.75:
for the Pipeline and they work a peach. Grippy, and stable. Cheap too. Elaine's bike has those Kona things, and I hate them. It's so easy to roll the pedal, and mangle your shin, and they are thick. No good IMO. They will get replaced with those cheap MEC pedals very soon. I know that they are not sealed, but Elaine only rides in the dry, and I'm going to be getting some SPD's for the Pipeline xc days.
These:
are ones that I'd like to get for the Devinci, when the OEM ones die. They go for $49.00.
i have the axiom road gaps and they are nice no doubt, but since i got these wellgo's at mec for 49 bux im not going back. I find they are also grippier than the road gaps due to the 2 extra pins in the middle of the pedal.

some people have warrantied the road gap 2-3 times or more… so they can work out pretty cheap long-term …

you likin the SX?
i'm gettin bored of the Heckler… what next? :D
I wish I didn't let my Atomlab Trailkings go with the LeToy when I sold it:(
14mm axle right out to the end, full allen key head on the back side of the pins….
I like mine and they are not so heavy.
ha ha, I'm just livin my life man.
The V12 Magnesiums won the MBUK flat pedal review in this monthes mag
theyre brittish though so exportin could be a problem but theyre only
Weyless b27 (manufactured by the same place that creates the Welgo b27, Axiom road gaps) They have sealed bearings, are exactly the same as the the said versions (same warentee too!). Cost me $25US from supergo.com I think they've now changed the name - probably too obvious they were the same as the welgo since they had the same name. Price might now be $30US - heard they'd gone up a bit.
