Had an epic weekend up in Kelowna this past long weekend. Need some new pedals!
Anybody have any recos? I was thinking the specialized pedals that come with the Demo 9?

Rode the roadgaps for a couple years and loved em. Sold them with my bike last year and have been wishing I hadn't ever since. There are flashier pedals, but the Roadgaps feel great and hold up really well.
That said, I'm saving up for some Syncros Mental Mags….

go for the wellgo b 37s if you'd like a pedal that's super super grippy, and yet super cheap. it's the same pedal as most more expensive "name brand" ones, but is only $60 from MEC
that'll buff right out
Axiom Road Gaps
:werd: awesome pedals, and about 80 bucks.
send them a pic of you riding their DH RACE bike off the roof of Rochester School…and ask if the crack is really a manufacturing defect.

I have the Easton Cully Signature pedals. Awesome pedals. Rock solid and super smooth. I definitely reccomend these to anybody in the market for new pedals.
i snapped two of them just riding down my road
If you ride Whistler, please please wear a full face hemet. Your mother will thank me, nobody wants a ugly kid.

Axiom Road Gaps
Best pedals ever, got them last year and ride them at Northstar, California, which is a place that has a tendancy to buck you off your pedals, they work great.
I'm rolling on the new lo pro Specialized Magnesium pedals. They came stock on my bmx. They feel good out of the box because of their thin profile.
But somethings got to give. The bearings look quite dinky so my guess is that the bearings won't last too long.
It always seems like a comprimise. Ultra thin pedal, strong axle= tiny bearings.
I also ride the Shimano DX pedals. Light and still solid. I've had them for a year. Just make sure when you get them that you loctite in the long pins.
Hands down, Wellgo B-37 sealed flats. $50 from MEC. I have them on both my DH and street bike i like them so much. Seriously look into these. They last MUCH MUCH longer than my buddies road gaps (which are shot). Ive had one pair for about a year and a half, and the other for about 6 months, still work excellent.
anyone know how well the wellgo mg-1 holds up? I'd imagine the bearings will hold up decent but i don't know about the cage. I've not broken pedals since i used those funny three pice rubber ones on my tricycle but lately i've been banging my pedals a lot on concrete and things.
They've got the guns but we've got the numbers! Gonna win ya we're takin over.
I've had WellgoB-27's for past 4 years of riding the north shore and Whistler. Sealed bearings all around. No bent spindles. Pins are bigger than Shimano and Holzfeller's, and easy to find replacements. Platforms is good size and shape and I can't break it on rock. Yes, there is some float/play, but it's been the same since 6 weeks after I got them.
Highly recommended.
I wouldn't be surprised if Wellgo makes pedal which are sold under the Axiom brand.

i've been running mg-1's for a couple years now. i've never had an issue with the bearings or axles, but the magnesium is relatively soft [HTML_REMOVED] you'll rip out pins if you smash them on stuff (and the pedal threads come out with the pins, so you can't always thread in replacement pins). the pedals otherwise work great - light [HTML_REMOVED] grippy, at a reasonable price; just not for pedal smashers.
i have been super impressed so far with the two sets of flat pedals i own..
My bullit has kona jackshits, and they have been great to me..
My heckler has FUNN souljam vipers, and im blown away at how grippy they are, and how well they hold my feet.
Fear me. I have a Cabin in montana.
