I'm just wondering about peoples thoughts on having a park bike and an enduro bike.
Currently I have a Specialized Enduro Aluminum Comp 650b, new Lyric, debonair w/bike yoke (so I can run any shock I want), Chromag BZA Carbon bar/stem/grips, DT Swiss 350 hubs and EX471 rims, 1x11, dropper, SRAM Guide RS brakes. All the regular stuff. I ride this bike almost every weekend 10-20km rides, WBP 5 or 6 times a year. It has served me well. Most of the upgrades have been done in the past year
The frame developed a crack and Specialized is Giving me a 2016 Carbon Expert frame as a replacement.
I also have built up a Commencal META 4 for my son (14 years old 100lbs) with DVO Diamond fork, Topaz shock, Easton bar/stem, DT Swiss 350 hubs and EX471 rims, 1x11, Sram DB5 brakes, etc.
This year I am planning on buying season passes to whistler for my son and I. I have never had a park type bike and was thinking of getting one this year as we are planning on doing quite a few Whistler Park days. This would also keep the Enduro in better shape as I now the park is hard on bikes.
I have a line on a virtually new 2015 DeVinci Wilson Frame and a few other bits that I can build up.
I usually like the technical blues and blacks at WPB, my son likes Crank It Up and jump tracks, this year I would actually like to work on my jumping skills.
Thoughts??
