I would if I didn't have to shave my legs and wear lycra.

Why? It won't give you any more power unless you're an eleate xc racer there is little benefit exept for a smother pedal stroke and you can put slicks on your mountain and work on that.

:high: If bikes were crack,I'd be Lindsy Lohan.

I wish.

I'm quitting organized crime; from now on I'll stick to the regular kind.

I don't but I wouldn't mind one. Shaving and lycra isn't that big of a deal… the hardest part is actually the shaving itself, not being in public.

I sometimes ride one simply because I dont drive and you can get to work faster on a road bike then a bmx or mtn bike

The motivation is the increased speed and fitness it gives you for riding a mountain bike. No matter what, nothing gets you in shape for mountain biking as fast as riding the road.

If your used to riding big squishy bikes with big tires you will be blown away how fast you can rip on a road bike.

yes ,I bot an old 14 spd vitus for only 500$ but go for a 9 spd cogset and sti

why road ride:

-in 2 seasons on a 10 year old road bike I spent 40$ on a replacement rear tire tire and a spare tube ,total break downs were 2 flats,no crashes ,no broken bones.
-you can go fast, and riding as a group even faster cuz aero dynamics is a huge part of road biking… you take your turn pulling at the front and dropping back in the draft,or if its a really fast group just hang off the back.Or you can ride slowly as a group and shoot the shit.
- some of the group ride's are with buffed female triathalethes in tight spandex
- I have had faster riders drop back and pull me back to the peloton when I drop off the back .
-Its really a good time IMO
