Open Letter to James at OGC

I recently sent in my Sherman Breakout + to get the travel adjust fixed. I got the fork back yesterday and rode Woodlot today. While it was in, all kinds of goodies got replaced and or upgraded. All I can say is that whatever was done to the fork absolutely changed the way it rides and all for the better. It does not even feel like the same fork! More than once today I thought I was going to get either thrown off line or pitched over the bars, but the fork just did its thing and saved my sorry butt.

So thank you, thank you and thank you.:D

Did I mention thank you?

I really can't explain how much better the fork is. I have always ridden rigid bikes until I got this one, so I did not have much of a reference point. I liked the fork before, but now I think I understand the difference between an OK fork and a great one. It still tracks the way it did (which was a big thing I liked about it), and soaks up the bigger stuff probably a bit better than it did, but now it works on the chatter as well. Soooooo nice!

Manitou should change their name…It seems like a lot of their stuff doesn't work right until James gets his mitts on it.

How about simply calling their fork line up "James", or perhaps at least replace the Travis with a Manitou "James".

Looking forward to see what kind of magic this man can do with Fox equipment.

The new Fox workshop is getting built up at OGC this week, if people thought OGC was awesome with Manitou, just wait until they do fox…

Is OGC going to continue to service Manitou? I sure hope so.

James and crew are going to be full on Fox come the end of February. There is no word on who might carry and service Manitou after that…
