Parts bins are full and plentiful, need to purge. What do you guys do with the stuff that hasn’t seen the light for 10+ years..?

/\Yup. After years off meaning to, finally got around to gathering up my extra parts and dropping them off at the local non-profit this week. They were so stoked.

Now to fill up all that newly emptied storage...

here's a thought, what about an NSMB parts sale, with monies raised going to a trail project or????

Tell you what, I’ll drop them off and you can sell them.

I've dropped my stuff off at our community bikes several times. I like the idea of what they do but they never seem that appreciative. I once dropped off a set of Magura rim brakes - I loved those things for trials and they were soooo cool but I didn't have any need for them so I figured I'd give them to some hipster who would find them at OCB and cherish them. After I dropped off my bounty, I was sorry I had. Kindof a "meh" reaction.

If someone gave me a perfectly functioning set of Magura rim brakes today, even without a bike to put them on, I'd be stoked!

In any case, now I give anything I don't need to people I know who need shit.

I'd be game, but timing sucks right now as I have too much on plate, which I guess is your situation too. My thinking was that if everyone who had parts to get rid of sent them all to one place it could be a great little community service type dealio. If you're not in a rush let me sit on it for a couple weeks to think about it?

NSMBA used to have the gear swap, but they havent organized it in the past couple of years.  Was a great place to get rid of older parts and pick up some new ones.  I used to volunteer every year and kind of miss the atmosphere it had with all the happy people and bikes and parts!

nsmb.com classifieds are hopeless - it would have to be pinkbike.
