I have a few old bike helmets kicking around, but don't know how I should dispose of them. Any suggestions/ideas?

Have some fun with it, get out the hammer, or sledgehammer for full-face, smash em up. Watch out for the rebound, they are suprisingly resiliant.
They can only go into a dumpster, you just want to make sure they do not get used again.
