Looks like the photos are out of the tire I designed for Maxxis. Its supposed to be a replacement for the High Roller to give it better braking and a little better bite on turn in. The knob height will be increased for production and will make it much better in soft conditions. So far the tests are good!

Maxxis took advantage of their sponsorship of some of the top racers and called up Steve Peat, Greg Minnaar, and Bryn Atkinson to help develop the new tread pattern.

i think they forgot to mention you..

how come the cut outs in the side blocks don't go right to the edges and how come there aren't cut outs in the other side blocks? I would have though more cut outs = better but i know nothing.

Yeah, where is your name in the article Wayne? Looks like those jerks at Maxxis are stealing your thunder.

What is the intended application? Those side knobs look quiet tall and quirmy for hard pack conditions and generally more aggressive than a High Roller. That said looks like it'd be an awesome loose condition tire?

I bet it's because he has said for years to sipe the centre block of HighRollers.

I've always hated the HR as a front, because of it washing out when you hit that dead spot. Despite it's name, never found it to be a great roller, either…
These look better… I'd rock a sticky one in the rear.

hahahaha…

95% my idea. Side knobs are kinda a mutual agreement. Otherwise the knob/sipe shape, sizing, placement, are what I wanted. Why would I get public credit? I'm a nobody. The CEO knows, as does the head engineer, that's all that matters.

I've read the tests from all those WC dudes and everyone seems to like it. From what I've been told, most WC racers didn't want the HR changed, but this one just gives the old HR more bite where it needed it.
