Thanks' PowellR & Niels, got it @ Knolly's black friday sale. I'd been jones'n for one and this was the last small ti they had so I went for it. Set up MX with a coil 140mm Lyrik and a bunch of parts from my AM bike that I haven't been riding much, just in time for the winter!

Titanium is at the top of my list and the Tyaughton looks a beauty. If it had sliders I'd beg, borrow or steal to have it.

Lucky as!

Got it https://maps.app.goo.gl/9y6gGpArL8Te31Jo7.

I never rode as far south as Wellington, National Park was as far south as I got.  There was a point in probably the late 90s when Wellington was considered the best mtb city in the world (I guess before Van took the title).

It's not on anybodies destination list (maybe QT & Rotorua draw the clicks), but there are trails and riders everywhere.

Velo's being coy.

Wellington is, frankly, The Shit.

Not being regarded as such, nationally, still makes makes it a bit of a unknown quantity. There trails of all grades & surfaces.

Every pocket of trails (I count 8) has everything most riders could want within half an hours drive between the furthest ones apart.

Except from a chairlift/gondy haha.

Sounds like Surrey but with much bigger hills.  Maybe next time when I'm back...

I guess, maybe I'm just inured to it, and slightly put out that the pocket closest to me has 0 tech, so I have to ride the gruelling 3km of cycleway across town to Mt Vic.

If you can drive from Wainui to Miramar in half an hour remind me to stay off the road while you hoon.
